Morning all. Today is recovering from visting Legoland yesterday. Fab day but OMG how noisy are the planes -how on earth does anyone live in Windsor? Is the castle soundproofed?

    Hope everyone is ok.
    xx

Lol! I live in Maidenhead which is next to Windsor, not quite so under the flight path but we do get some going over, and the odd few going really low esp if its cloudy. Oddly though, I tend to notice the noise more by its absense if I go somewhere with no aircraft (esp as we also live near a local airfiled). Guess it's kinda white noise comfort after a while.

    Hi Hales :)
Cor, I haven't thought about what I'll be doing next weekend...it'll be 40 degrees in Sevilla when we get there though  I had hoped for a moderate temperature to adjust too....

(Sorry, slightly one-track mind at the moment)

  • Quite possibly the worst experience of my life...
It all went wrong, though. The bus didn't come, then the train broke down, and I should have just gone home. Instead I battled on, got there a little late but offered to rebook and apologized alot and they said it was fine. Stylist was supposed to comb my hair, and stabbed me in the head with scissors. It took a while to stop bleeding, and he just said "Don't worry, we'll wash it off before the photo" in a really evil way. He said he wasn't going to cut my hair after that. Make up looks nice, but they tried to put £180 worth of make up through on my card with me not present because I said I liked it and they said people usually buy what they put on them....luckily it declined as my card needs the PIN entered. Manicurist had quit, so no nails done, and the photographer was nice but the room was absolutely filthy. She didn't want to touch anywhere and I didn't want to sit anywhere but we took a few photos and she said she was disgusted, and it was her first day.

Then I left for two hours as they told me they weren't ready, they didn't have food or drink like they'd advertised, and I was feeling rubbish. Didn't want to go back but I'd left my coat, so I had too. Spent two hours wondering the heaving town centre before going back, when they locked me in a strange room with an angry man who wouldn't let me just take the free pictures (the experience cost £125 and had three free prints) and tried to get me to sign a credit agreement. Wouldn't let me go until I did, was very angry when the card declined again (I put the wrong PIN in as I didn't want it to work) and sent me to the bank. He even wrote £550 on my hand so I didn't come back without it! I was really scared...ran to the train station but just missed the train so had to spend ages waiting, same happened with the bus.

I really, really wouldn't recommend it to anyone, ever.

Blimey, what an ordeal. I wonder if there'd be any point putting in a complaint. Doesn't sound much fun x

sorry that was stating the obvious.
