    Hi All,

Sorry I haven't been around for ages. Just don't really feel like going on the computer much as once I am on there I seem to spend all day on there doing nothing :-) Not that I get a lot done off it either :-)

My life has been pretty busy though as I have decided to try to get back to some sort of work. Not sure if you remember or not but I haven't worked for a few years now due to back pain and depression. Anyway, I decided I wanted to change careers and do something with dogs/animals instead of testing software. So I have been signing up with lots of Animal Charities to get some experience which I hope will eventually help me to get paid later on. I have been fostering a lovely Rottweiler called Bella. S!amus and Bella have got on like a house on fire, especially the first couple of weeks as Bella was in season. I thought I was in the middle of some very weird !!!!!! movie. Things have calmed down a lot now and he just tries to drag her around by her collar now :-) We have found a very nice home for Bella now and she will be leaving us in a couple of weeks.

Then we got some even better news. We are getting a guide dog puppy in the middle of October, yipee :-) We can't wait. They did want us to take one on September 8th but we are going on holidays on the 24th of September so it is best to wait until we are back.

Other than that there isn't much more news. I have managed to fail my ESA medical yet again so have to go through the appeal process again which is a pain. Don't feel so stressed this time though as I know what to expect but it does mean my benefit is down to £64 a week until I will the appeal.

I have tried to keep up with reading the threads but I have completely missed out on 'The Ville'. I have no idea what it is but I am hoping as an original dribbler, I can join, pretty please ........

Also are we still on Facebook? I know we had 2 pages and I had 'liked' both of them but I can't find them anymore.

Don't think I have made too much extra cash over the last few months. When I get a chance I will try to do a quick calculation to see how my total is going.

Hope everyone is doing ok. My post is already too long to mention you one by one.

Joey - holiday in Skeggie sounds like it'll have great bits and crap bits :) are you taking some good books in case it chucks it down? Ooh board games, and some ear plugs in case anyone snores lol!The kittens sound like great fun. I just want the rotty that jmrance has got though, so lovely!

She is so lovely. We will miss her lots and lots but I have found her a very nice home. Just going round to check that she gets on ok with their cats next Wednesday. I hope she does as we are off on holidays on the 24th of Sept so I would like to have her settled before we go. Then we get our guide dog puppy as soon as we get back :j

an old friend of my mums used to do 'puppy walking' with the guide dog pups many years ago - they loved it and found it so rewarding - I seem to recall that they permanently took on one of the pups who was lovely but didn't quite make the guide dog grade. She was a lovely dog, just a little loopy with not much of an attention span - bless!

  • Lol Kerri - you can imagine she wouldn't have been much use as a guide dog! About as much use as this, in fact ...

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: soooo appropiate - exactly what my cat would do. I'd forgotten just how funny Hale and Pace were. Those were the days...and Spittin Image too. I swear it taught me more about politics than any school lesson :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

jmrance it sounds really hard work but great fun. my friends who are blind rely soooo much on their guide dogs.
will PM you about the vile but it may be this evening. got a fairly busy day here today.
Yay Elly I did try to ring you but only to say I had to work extra last week so wouldn't be able to meet up. However there may be something else in the pipeline on that front.
Kerri I never really got into spitting image which I am forever ashamed of but I think its cos my parents didn't want to watch and we were one tv family. Hale and pace was funny though.
Paula hope you are having good day. from FB I guess you may be baking today.
Have a small meeting about my job today to sort out start dates etc.
