Mambury you may feel a bit mushy from time to time but you never really sound it. you have so much on your plate. I am usually in awe of you.
Eyesparky glad you are doing well. am sure it has been a difficult year for you and hope you have had people around you to give you hugs when you've needed them.
well I am really craving some chocolate so may have to nip out to shops. we need some bread as well though so I have a good excuse.lol.

hi everyone - mams did you see the gammons on special at asda, £2.68per kg, they would go down well cooked in coca cola -delish!- we tend to have a nice gammon rather than turkey and homemade steak pie then fight over the soggy pastry- what a treat! Christmas pudding ice cream sounds yummy too

eyesparky - great that you dropped in, we're still plodding along - slowly slowly catchy monkey! i will bw doing something similar next year as there is no way i would have got to this stage without this bunch of nutters! think elly mentioned 11k in 2011 or something similar, right must go and make some calls, evening Jo, Elle and anybody else popping in - catch you all later,

Hey Eyesparky!! Once I discover the secret of the brain I will share.....

Jo - in awe of me?? Ah, you haven't met me in person yet :)

Skint - ta for that.... The shop I work in is in an outlet centre with ASDA sharing the same car park so about 200 yards from the back door.... useful but it can be dangerous! I shall pop in on Thursday morning before work.....

Might leave that one off the Christmas dinner list ;)

11K in 2011 sounds like a target to aim at (time to get planning). Keep up the good work :).

no probs mambury, just wish i had an asda closer as would get a couple then cook and slice them and keep them in the freezer, like to pick my own meat so dont tend to order online and its too cold here to do the 50mile round trip, some parts round this area have had the gritters out and up the glens (20miles away) have had a covering of snow today - hope this isnt the start of it like last winter - maybe should get the gammon in just incase! have started a "january box" as we are always well and truly rookied in january so am buying stuff now thats on offer and putting it away - just spending a couple of pounds a week so hopefully we'll have most of the groceries and toiletries bought and will just need fresh stuff, did start a thread but died a death so maybe not a great idea,

not a bad idea skint! We were snowed in for a week (nearest town is 15 miles away and nearest village is 4!!). I am running down my food stocks a little at the moment as we are skint and OH is moving the kitchen cupboards (currently fited in the kitchen) into the new kitchen is a few weeks (which will take several weeks) so I will be living out of boxes for a while.....
DS has been sick again :(. He had the bug two weeks ago, recovered and then got it again on Friday night, better Sat, Sun and Monday. I sent him back to school for the morning today and now hes been sick again. I was supposed to be working yesterday and today so thats 9 hours of work gone. I was also supposed to be working 4 hours on Thursday, but that will be out the window now too.... I might just keep him off the rest of the week as it's half term next week anyway..... Not too good for my third week in the job eh?!

I;m off to catch up on some sleep as I think I might not get much tonight :(

    Good morning everyone!
Mambury, I hope your son is feeling a bit better...I'm a bit nauseous today, had the same thing yesterday. Got a bit tempted by food at tea-time so tried to eat, had a mouthful of spaghetti and threw up. Eugh. Got a cough, too...I wonder if there is something going round?

OH is away at the moment..yesterday went okay but today I'm feeling lonely and sad. I looked at part time jobs yesterday, just shop work and things that I thought maybe would help me to socialize a bit more. I don't see my old friends anymore, unfortunately they don't deem me worth their time while I'm so ill. Problem is, I don't think I'll manage to leave the bed today, let alone go to work if I had a job. I guess that's a spanner in the works!

I hope everyone is having a good day :) (OOoohh I love gammon...OH doesn't, though, he hates bacon too. Odd boy :P)
