Yay, it's great waking up to people!

Driving lesson got cancelled Spent all day practising for my theory, and then got a call from them. Missed it but called back straight away, and they said it had been accidental and no one needed to talk to me today. Got a call this morning saying the instructor has had a crash, and can't give lessons at the moment for insurance reasons. They said they could reschedule for a few weeks, but I guess I'll look elsewhere.

Feeling pretty gutted, I was using that to distract me from OH going. He's gone from now til Saturday...I'm gonna be all on my own. I'm feeling very scared, to be honest...:o

It's good to hear from everyone. Elly, I hope your Mum is okay, and all the best for today. Dilli, you sound so busy! I need to get on with...something, lol.

I'll be around all week if anyone wants a chat!

morning everyone!! cold here today the weathers really changed, been up since 6 watching the miners getting rescued.
dilli - i'd chop their blo0dy hands off, hope it gets sorted quickly, your certainly busy just now am jealous of you having somewhere "real" to work and get organised. Have just updated my website with new photos and also updated pics on facebook - and got an email for an order within about 30minand its a real order not mates rates! i think come the new year i'm going to stop the mates rates or just give a discount of about 25% not the 60-75% i'm giving just now. have a craft fair on saturday so i think i will do 3 big cakes to take, need to sit today and work out what to make - its in quite an affluent area so will def do cupcakes, and the usual but trying to think of something different, will pop back later.

i'm doing 15 min housework to day to phone at 2 to see if mums ready to come home then go collect her
she forgot her fags and i had a 20 min walk to find a shop near hospital that sells them if nothing else she is keeping me fit
ihave paperwork stuff to do today and going to organise my stuff for bootsale sat ,happy money making elly x

Skint, congrats on the cake order! I agree about the mates rates, you put the same effort in for family and friends so they should pay the same! I hope your craft fair goes great too.

I couldn't sleep last night, cried when OH left and couldn't settle. Ended up watching the Chilean Miners rescue, am still watching it now. What brave, brave men.

you were right skint even moved the trampoline closer to the house for the winter lol mums ok buthad to stay in till tomorrow as she was too late back from theatre to come home tonight.

Elly - make sure the trampoline is well anchored down - we lost ours last year over a 6' fence and into the path of a bus with the wind at 6.30 in the morning! panic wasnt the word - i was on the loo, kids were shouting, dog was barking and there was not much i could do there's no way i could handle a 14' trampoline so phoned o/h at work and told him he had to come home, while neighbour jammed it up the side of somebodys drive until it could be dismantled! hope your coping okay and your mums not too sore. make sure you get your feet up with a big glass of wine this weekend

two tier hello kitty cake was picked up today - and got another two orders out of it, with the possibility of a third! woohoo richbint here i come

well done on the cake orders ,mums ok next appt 26th is the important one and guess what its her birthday tried to change it bu not possible,she doesnt seem to mind so will try some money making till them.

Well my mums extension roof is failing and having a bit of a mare getting it sorted as of course everyone is very cagey. she goes away for winter tomorrow so that leaves me to deal with it.
DS is poorly and on oral steroids for 5 days. The good bit is the box of thorntons chocolates from my mum!! yum.
Its not big stuff in the grand scheme of life - except if you have period pain.lol

hi jo whoohoo to the choclates booooooooooo to the rest hope ds gets better soon .will it be weird when your mum goes or a sigh of relief lol i'm going to drag the bootsale stuff out today for tomorrow then get drunk tomorrow night as i'm back to the grind come monday.
