  • PAULA - I am actually really liking the idea about the head on head off dolls. In the run up to Christmas I think you would sell a lot ! Think of Secret Santa style presents - 5 - 10 quid and you could make them of the boss so people can knock their head off in times of stress. Or the mother in law. Or the OH. Or the tax man...... Quirky stress dolls.

Or do I need some more sleep????

  • oooh meant to ask - did anyone have any success with matched betting? I know a few people were considering it in April !

Also I ran a few businesses until I had a mini meltdown ! I sold some and shelved some ( hid all evidence away they existed) and now I run the one and put 100% into it. No more plan b or c or d... When times are tight ( everyday with a d in it!) I have to pull out the works to kick the business again. So to whoever was considering the part time job ( mambury?) I can totally see your partners point of view. One thing needs to take up 100% of your free time for you to make it work. However I can also see the obvious benefit of working somewhere to gain some 'you' time, and more importantly discounts from B&Q, Tescos or somewhere equally yummy. And if it is a job you can go to and enjoy and then leave and forget about it until your next shift, thats got to be good.

Can we help with PM? Your business on twitter, facebook, ebay, gumtree etc.. ? Can I add you to anything?

THanks Money.... I think the reason my depression came back is I was suffering from lack of human (adult) contact. As I live in the sticks there is no way of just popping round to a friend for a coffee/cake etc.

I got the job so I will be £60 a week better off, but I'm not sure what to do with PM as the house, the garden, the kids were all suffering from my lack of time. At the moment I am thinking of shelving it..... and spending more time on me. I want to be creative again (used to do quite a bit of drawing etc when I was younger but life took over) and I want a tidy house, and clothes in drawers as I am fed up of rummaging for the kds pants 10 minutes before we are due to leave for school! I think I am going to try and get rid of stock (quite a bit!!) and cut my losses. I feel a bit of a failure on that front as I would love to be able to work around the kids but to be fair I wasn't, I was working at the expense of the kids.

Anyone want to buy some body jewellery cheap?? :)

    Hi Mambury and MMTWGR.
Just on briefly but maybe consider selling PM as a going concern? It has taken effort to set up which would save someone else that effort if they bought it. They would need to grow it and still put effort in but you ahve a website and an ebay business all up and going.

Aww, Mambury, that's a shame but at least you haven't lost anything I guess? I'm guessing you'll be keeping the hair dye for yourself in the future? lol :) really well done on the job! Hope the depression's helped by having some time with adults, it can really help sometimes...

MMTWGR - I don't think the heads would last long, the clay would get knackered quite quickly! But thank you for thinking of me lol :)

Dilli, thank you for the hugs, you're ace :)

I've got my doctor's appointment tomorrow to talk about the possibility of having ADHD; been reading through the information online and it's like they're describing me, so I'm completely convinced. Also joined an ADHD support site and been looking through their forums - a lot of the adults on there who have this say they didn't get diagnosed until they were in their 30s or beyond so I'm not alone. Just very nervous about tomorrow; I'm completely sure I have had this since I was at primary school, even if I didn't realise it till now - but apparently you do get GPs who just don't believe it exists - I keep doubting myself when I get tired and negative, and think, what if it's just making excuses - but if I can get validation that I'm like this because I have low dopamine levels it'll be amazing. I've already been feeling calmer as I'm not 'getting at' myself for not being organised - I actually think I must be a bloody strong person to get to this point in my life having had three very happy and balanced kids and not having completely destroyed my life through bad decisions (and trust me I've made them in the past) and being told I'm useless and have no common sense. It's weird, it's like everything has finally fallen into place. And I'm not constantly apologising for everything lol. I know you'll say you didn't do anything but thank you again, Jo :) xx xx

    Hey Paula,
big hugs hun. your gp is a starting place but not the only starting place so if they are negative about it remember they are just one person and not the be all and end all. Like I said I do have some books about adhd/ add which make fascinating reading. The ones I have are broadly positive and I am happy for you to have them if you want them.
It may or not be the answer for you but definitely worth investigating.

Oh yes please, I did read that but forgot. Been in a bit of a daze about the whole thing - has answered a lot of questions but made me question stuff too. My dad's coming up tomorrow which is a right pain as he's very critical and I get really wound up, oh well :) The books would be great, thank you - will PM you my address :) xx
