Wow well done Skint! Bet you're looking forward to the two weeks off though
We're having corn on the cob tonight - they were selling it cheap in Sainsbury's still wrapped in leaves and there's a bit in My Neighbour Totoro where the little girl takes corn to her mum in hospital, so Freyja was very excited
xx
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -

MMTWGR - welcome back and good to see you again! You have been an amazingly busy bee and your total is fantastic! Well done!
Elly - I did a whole load of sleeping over the weekend. I had some seriously lovely naps in between getting design work done. Getting the nap work life balance perfected. x
Paula - hugs, and just great to see you. Please make sure you check in and you haven't let anyone down at all honey so please don't be hard on yourself. That is the great thing about dribbling it isn't about a race to the finish it is about support and friendship. Much love to you hon, be easy on yourself. x
Jenna - good to see you again! hope you get better soonThanks for the artfire link. x
Nikki - well done on tips and your total = fantastic well done you!
Skint - that donations total is epic that is really, really good!
Mambury - good to see you, sorry to hear that you had a bit of a carp day. See how you feel about it all but OH is right don't take on too much. I still can't believe that I was doing a near 80 hour week at the start of dribbling. I am not doing nearly as much and I am far happier and more relaxed. There has to be a balance - no point having the money if you can't enjoy it.
As for being an adult : resign... I am posting this as it always makes me smile
I am hereby officially tendering my resignation as an adult. I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities of a 5 year old again.
* I want to go to McDonald’s and think that it is a four star restaurant.
* I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make ripples in a pond with rocks.
* I want to think M&M’s are better than money because you can eat them.
* I want to lie under a big oak tree and watch the ants march up its trunk.
* I want to run a lemonade stand with my friends on a hot summer’s day.
* I want to go fishing and care more about catching the minnows along the shore than the big bass in the lake.
* I want to think the world is fair.
* I want to return to a time when life was simple. When all I knew about were colors, multiplication tables, and nursery rhymes. When I didn’t know what I know now. When all I knew was to be happy because I was blissfully unaware of all the things that should make me worried.
* I want to think that a quarter is worth more than a dollar bill because it is prettier and weighs more.
* I want to think that everyone is honest and good. I want to believe that anything is possible.
* I want to be oblivious to the complexities of life and be overly excited by the little things in life again.
* I want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs, a kind word, truth, dreams, the imagination, the Tooth Fairy, a kiss that makes a boo-boo go away, making angels in the snow, and that my dad and mom are the strongest people in the world.
So……here’s my checkbook and my car keys, my credit cards and the bills, my 401K statements, my stocks and bonds, my collections, my insurance premiums, my job, my house and the payments, my e-mail address, pager, cell phone, computer, and watch. I am officially resigning from adulthood. And if you want to discuss this with me further, you’ll have to catch me
cause…….. tag your it!
As for me, having a ridiculously productive day by my standards I am halfway through my to do list and I am on the mission. Got loads more invites designed over the weekend, so I am actually on course to getting this lovely lot finally finished. I feel very, very happy!

Hey Dilli,
love the being five things hehe.
glad you had lots of sleep. I had a very restful weekend too. decided I REALLY need to sort out my pain and tiredness so that is my priority over the next few weeks as everything else would be easier if I wasn't in pain and exhausted. I think it is stuff I can deal with myself if I prioritise it. I have a great mindfullness cd but it lasts 45 mins and doing it every day isn't feasibble so I have treated myself to an mp3 of his which has medtitations from 3 mins to 20 mins and that seems much more realistic if not quite as dramatic an effect. I am also hoping this will help me sleep better as well as reduce tension in my neck and shoulders.
So my biggest commitment is to do the 20 mins once a day and the 3 minute one as needed through the day.
I am also going to start some very gentle movement type exercise every day to try and gently release some of the knots. Today was just standing on the spot and lifting my heels up and down alternately kind of slow motion jogging on the spot without taking my feet off the ground. and after that just gently rotating my hips around in circles.
Am also starting to write down my ideas as they come to me rather than having my mind racing off in all different directions.
Thats it for now.

hi dilli after reading the list have figured that after reading the list that apart from paying bills i've yet to grow up lol.on that line however managed to fill out the fos complaint form so hopefully will get somewhere with that.have had to rebook mums hospital appt can see this all landing on my door step well will wait and see she would do it for me so hey i dont mind ,please remind me of that in 6 mths when the other 8 still havent taken her anywhere and i'm whinging lol.
hope all the colds have vanished ,and jo hope the aches and pains dissappearSo finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x0 -
Yay Elly you got the form filled out. guess if you know upfront that you will b e doing most of stuff with your mum then it won't be a horrible surprise. but if its too much you should ask the others rather than wait for them to offer - maybe? depending on your personality sometimes its as well being the one doing the doing - I always want to know the ins and outs etc and others don't always report as clearly as I want maybe cos of less medical knowledge. still its a tough time ahead so don't over do it.
