Vodafone sim expiry?

Does anyone know if Vodafone sims expire, and if so how long would it be roughly from the time of them being issued? I know O2 sims now have expiry dates on them, but Vodafone don't seem to mention anything about this, can I just assume that I would be able to register one in say a year's time without any problems?
