I like the liberal use of the word "offence". On another page they talk about "paying your parking fines".They wouldn't be pretending to be the police or the council would they?
Surely this is criminal misrepresentation? Will our new lords and masters do something about these vile scammers?
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

Welda it may be worth informing Trading Standards, and your MP or MSP, as they are a privaye company, who cannot issue a fine, they can only send you an invoice, for any consequential loss, which if the car park is free is zilch zero nix. Athena Anpr look like they are guilty of possible offences regarding extracting illegal fines from motorists, as it says plainly on their site about paying your parking "fines" see here:

    http://www.athena-anpr.com/pay-online.asp

    Otherwise ignore it

    Ignore

    It is that simple OP

The letter you have received is no way enforceable, by any means.

And the 'ticket' as they name it, which it is not, is in fact a unenforceable invoice, it's a invoice.
You decide if you pay or not, by not paying will result in, nothing happening.

Throw there letters away, the letter isn't worth the paper they have printed it on!

    SCAMMERS

https://www.athena-parking.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.

Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Civil parking invoices are in no way enforceable.

I just laugh when they claim that they will take you to court/request a attachment to earnings and/or get the local sheriff to come and see you - Sheriff haha!!!!! Class!

Simply ignore invoices from people such as this company, don't give them the attention they so desperately seek!

    Don't hold your breath!
  • I have also had 2 parking enforcement letter which I intend to totaly ignore but I do plan to send a envelope with a IOU in it but without a stamp so they have to pay the postage to get what they think would be a cheque.
  • Just send them a envelope with a I.O.U in it but dont put a stamp on the envelope, they may pay the postage just to get what they think is a cheque.... scam the scammers
  • Look at it this way Welda. The PPC have to pay the DVLA £2.50 to get the registered keepers details. They then have to pay to send each begging letter out to the registered keeper, hence all this is costing THEM money.

Ignore all the letters, don't waste your money replying to them, ultimately they are the ones losing out.
