    As I understand it, one door's enough if there's a sink. I think the issue isn't the toilet being next to the kitchen, but people coming out then washing their hands in the food preparation area, potentially splashing over plates or food.

    Having a loo off the kitchen isn't minging but not having a wash basin right next to it certainly is!

    Lots of terraces around my way have this set up.

    Its so wrong, those 2 smells just shouldnt be mixed! lol
