Clothes order wrong size

Slim-fit isn't a size, its a style and as such I don't think they can be classed as not as described. You ordered a small, you got a small and as you no doubt already know actual sizes vary between manufacturers and styles, so it's always reasonable to expect that you may have to send something back when ordering clothes online.0

But slim fit changes the size completely from what a normal size would be.0
-
Actually if you take a closer look at the picture, particularly the rear-facing one, its very apparent that this is a slimmer-fit.0
-
Im sorry, theres no way you can tell its slim fit from that picture.0
-
From the rear facing pic you can clearly see the narrower profile and vertical stitching down the vents to indicate a slim-fit shirt.0

Sorry but i have to agree with neil that from the picture, it is kinda apparent its not loose fitting.
And from what i remember of the webpage, it doesnt say anywhere that its loosefitting so not really NAD either :S
Although personally i think that kind of information should be listed. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
How I wish I had your dilemma! I always have to buy XL fat fit!:p0

Reckon the major factor is whether that shirt is actually made in different fittings (standard, slim-fit, loose etc.)? If not, then what you've received is hardly "not as described", it's more a case of the design and thus why when buying clothes it's wise to try them on in person first, or to purchase from a retailer offering free returns/be prepared to pay the return postage. If it does come in different fittings (and I note that none are shown on that web page) then I'd agree it was indeed NAD.0

Hi Adam, what do you mean by different fitting?
Just to add I also ordered tops from asos, all size small and they all fit very well, one of them is a firetrap top to! And because of a code on MSE I saved 20%:j
I guess ill just have to see what Republic say on Monday, IMO its wrong of them to sell slim fit clothes, which are always different to normal sized ones. Thats all I want is free return postage as they were not as described.0 -
Do Firetrap shirts come in different fitting styles as well as different sizes? eg. Small Slim Fit, Small Standard, Small Loose, Medium Slim Fit, Medium Standard, Medium Loose etc.
If not (and they don't appear as such from the Republic web page you've linked) then the 'fitting' is just part of the design, and what you've been sent is the only "Small" they make. As such, it's not strictly "not as described" I'm afraid. However, if they definitely do then it would seem you have a genuine claim.0
