Received a strange email..Should I be concerned?

I've just been sent an email from somebody saying they didn't want to discuss it with me on site actually meaning this site and then asking me to take delivery of a parcel, obvioulsy I haven't replied, its ridiculous. But I am guessing they got my email from this site?? Is this right?? I'm a bit worried I don't like the idea of them getting my email add from this site and is it possible for them to get my address from this site too??? I'll copy the email below:

will take me as his or her own family, also investment partner to assist me
bring out this box which still under the custody of the security company ,
where it was deposited by my beloved late father before his untimely death.
I prayed to God to send honest and trust worth person who can assist me to
accomplish my heart desire in investing this my late father's fund into a
profitable venture. I need your maximum support.

I will offer you 10% for the total sum of amount, if you help us and claim
this box from the security company. You will also provide investment
programme where the money will be invested properly when it arrival your
country safely.

As you have the option to email in your profile anyone can in fact use it and unfortunately they do which is why emails are removed from postings on the forum.

MSE does not divulge user's email addresses to ANYONE as stated when you sign up so, as Al Mac says, you need to alter your profile and take out the fact that anyone can email you.

I've mentioned a few times that there is a simple setting in vbulletin to switch on 'Secure Email Sending'. If its switched on people don't get to see your email address, they get an email form instead

From the manual:

vBulletin Options > vBulletin Options > Email Options
Use Secure Email Sending - If 'Allow Users to Email Other Members' is set to 'Yes', how should members' email addresses be displayed? If this is set to 'Yes', then an online form must be filled in to send a user an email, thus hiding the destination email address. Setting 'No' will mean that the user is just given the email address in order to send email using their email client application.

I've never understood why this isn't turned on - I thought it was on by default on vbulletin
