A sticky.............is a thread which is held at the top of a board. Normally threads move down the first page and onto the subsequent pages of that board, whereas a thread made sticky stays put.
The board guide(s) for each board are able to make a thread 'sticky'. It is often because the information held in that thread is important to the readers.;)
