I understand, I felt the same with our OR appts, I was literally shaking beforehand and pacing the front room! But it wasnt too bad, you just get through it and find the strength somehow.

Didnt see what happened with claim4refunds? Are you ok?
  • Yeah, glad theyre stewing over it! We were in IVA, decided to enquire about PPI claims. Used claim4refunds as we didn't know we could do it ourselves. Explained IVA situation, they said doesnt matter, we'll get our money. They won one, sent us a bill. I asked where our money? They said in IVA. I said stop, cant afford to pay if we don't receive money, they said no!!!! Won £7000. Sent us bill for £2500, refused to pay they sent bill for £4000!!! 20 calls a day, nasty, told me it was my F ing fault for running up debts! Loads of swearing in most calls ( them not me ). Threatened court, baillifs etc. Thats why we went BR. I was stupid with some loans, business good at the time, couple of holidays etc then business turned bad, borrowed more to live and pay credit cards. Wife ill with depression, they didn't care.......she got suicidle, they said not their problem, had to go BR

Oh blimey Geoff, you have been through it, crikey! It makes me so angry the way these companies treat people. Hope you and your wife can move on from it all now. They cant touch you anymore now you are BR. Its despicable the tactics they use to hound people.

How is your wife now? I hope she is ok. I really feel for her, I have read so many posts where people were in the depths of despair over debt and creditors hounding them. I know what its like from personal experience. Im glad you have been such a strong support, and hope this can be a fresh start for you both.
  • She's ok, and she smiled today :). She's worried about OR. But we haven't lied about anything so she'll be OK. She's not very open about her depression, none of her family know, she can pretend to be Ok with them, just me and a few close friends of mine know. She's had it for 6 years and I've coped with it on my own till I told a close friend of mine a couple of months ago cos I couldn't cope anymore. We were close to splitting up, especially with the pressure claim4refunds put on. Hopefully the fresh start will put her on the road to recovery, cos without all the s##t we're great together!!
  • She didn't put her health down as a reason on BR forms but I did on mine. My OR appointment is a couple of hours before hers, and we have the same OR so I'll explain all and hopefully pave the way for Nat
