Wonder if it will work on mine, I topped up when I first bought the phone (about 3 years ago! £10 topup and still got £7 of it ;-))
You must have been making calls every at least every 3 to 6 months though? Because many telephone firms deactivate SIMs that are not used to make a call after 90-180 days or so. Some of them will not restore the SIM once deactivated and you lose whatever credit was on there. Happened to me with a SIM from one of the smaller firms specialising in overseas calls.Escaped from Barnet to freedom in the South-East!0 -
Thanks OP! I've been a Tesco Mobile customer for a few years and top up fairly regularly, but didn't hear anything about this until I read your post. Sent the text and got the free £5 within 2 minutes!
Thanks again, muchos appreciated.

My wife also has a Vodaphone which is also used as an emergency phone, no issue with the credit on it either.Registered Linux user #497422 :beer:0 -
Is it an "expiring credit"? Like the 3x ones that expire after 30days or does it stay on does anybody know?Registered Linux user #497422 :beer:0

Nope I switch it on occasionally, but haven't made any calls this year, I do still get sms's so the number is still valid (Tesco CC sms's me reminders on this number).

That's interesting. I was deactivated by O2 but they cheerfully reinstated me and the credit when I phoned them. Other providers (not inc Vodafone) have cut me off permanently when I didn't make a call. I lost some really good memorable numbers thanks to that. I pleaded and wrote letters but they wouldn't budge.Escaped from Barnet to freedom in the South-East!0 -
