Easiest way to sell a car

I have just purchased a car private sale & now need to sell my old car on as soon as possible.

Anyone advise on the easiest way to sell a car.

Although you'll get a lot less than it's worth.

I sold my last car back to the dealer, which was quite easy too. I'd tried selling it privately but the first person who came round was a weirdo so I couldn't be bothered after that.

I'll second that although they do take the @rse out of the value price!

Saves hassle with advertising in Autotrader/local paper/ebay etc though BUT I'd be prepared to do one of those three first to maximise the return.

Webuyanycar give you an instant valuation and if you wish to proceed make an online appointment at the nearest 'station' so that you can hand the vehicle over. I think you then get a payment inot a chosen bank account a day or two later?

Good Luck whichever method you choose ;)
  • Thanks. webuyanycar is definatly a rip off. They hardly want to give me anything for the car, so I'd be avoiding them unless I got really desperate.
  • Glad you said that :j

IF the car is under a £1000 then Autotrader do a brilliant price of £25 (if my memory serves me correctly?) for 2 weeks in magazine & 3 weeks on the internet.....

Hopefully someone else can clarify if they have a recent copy in their possession? ;)
  • Stick it on ebay.
Nothing to see here, move along.

We took ours to a local car sales place and they offered twice the amount that webuyanycar quoted. This was still however about £1000-£1500 less than the Parkers private sale valuation so we're going to try Autotrader first.
  • My car is worth under £1000, so taking it to a garage would probably be a waste of time.

I'm hoping someone buys it as a project or to strip and sell on the parts.
