I am out of contract with Orange and tried to get a iphone 4 (i'm on a £75 a month tarrif) but they wont do a deal as there not allowed to. The price is the same for all networks so can anyone tell me which one is the best please?
I've had dodgy signal with Orange so happy to go wherever.

The best advice I can give is to go to the websites of all the networks and do checks on the quality of reception using the post codes of the places you are most likely to use your phone (home, work etc). Remember that the information given on the maps is only valid for outside of buildings as no networks guarantee quality of service within a building as the construction type used can affect the signal.
Be prepared to wait a while if you want an iPhone 4, though, as supply is still being outstripped by demand. If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

Personal experience o2 beats all the rest and they have always price matched my offers of T-mobile and Three at least.Going into last year of uni. What to do next?0

Depending on what the coverage is in your area (I'd get a bunch of free payg sims from all the networks to try rather than trust the coverage checker) and if you end up having a choice of who to go with, I'd strongly recommend that you AVOID Vodafone - they have no concept of customer service. I'd also agree with the previous poster to go with O2 if you can.Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0

Sorry for late reply, been on hols.
I've asked around the office and looks like O2 is the way forward.
Many thanks for all your advice, really appreciate it!

Sunshine - do you buy clothes from a catalogue or try them of for size first? If you buy from a catalogue, you can probably return them but mobile phones ain't like that. Not all networks let you return the phone if reception turns out to be poor - check out many other threads on this forum.
You must try out O2 in your home and any other important place at least before you sign your life away for 24 months (since you are planning to use O2). Get some friends to check their mobiles in and around your house if they are on other networks. Do the due diligence first and you will reap the benefits. If you don't, then we may be hearing from you as in a current thread re Orange running parallel with this one.0 -
That's me told!
I agree with you and will check before I sign my away - appreciate the fatherly advice
Thank you x0
