Mobile Phone Xchange scam? Latest reviews?
Options
I've got a couple of old mobiles to send for recycling and have been looking at the various companies involved - all look pretty much the same.
However, I noticed there was a thread on MSE about Mobile Phone Xchange specifically, with a number of complaints:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1572229
Reading through the thread, it reads as though MPX may be trying to address customer care issues.
HOWEVER, and this is the big question - don't all the mobile phone providers simply process the recycled phones through Vodafone (I think it is) anyway, so the price the consumer gets is what Vodafone actually offers for each phone?
Therefore isn't is the case that the big mobile recycling companies - Mazumamobile, Envirofone, Fonebank etc will all be subject to the same customer care issues, so there may be problems sending a mobile for recycling to any of them?
Or have I misunderstood something here?
(About the only really useful information I've got so far is to ensure the phones are sent in bubblewrap, not the jiffy bag provided!)

I always put my phones for sale on eBay and always achieve a much higher value than any of the recycle companies offer.0
