I was led to believe by a CPW store that transferring O2 "contract" numbers is always hard/impossible.... because they disconnect the number before you can transfer it. And of course, you cant transfer disconnected numbers.
So, the question remains... how would you cancel your contract... without losing the number?
But you might want to ignore me.... as i might be talking rubbish!0 -
It should be possible to transfer the number to a pay as you go sim.
I've done this many times when I've wanted to remain on the same network and keep the number but to start a new contract.
The process is quite simple:
1. Get PAC from current provider
2. Transfer to a different provider on pay as you go
3. Get PAC from new pay as you go provider
4. Transfer to original provider in step 1.
Spunky
PS. This whole process can be done in literally 2 weeks if done correctly0 -

When your contract is at the end of the minimum period you can ask to change to PAYG, or ask for a PAC so you can transfer to another provider's PAYG service.** Mobile Phones.... I'm here to help **0
