Electric blanket

Gonna try an electric blanket this year, and switch off the bedroom radiator.
I reckon the central heating radiator is costing £60+ a year to heat .
Arithmetic is not a strong point, can someone check my figures.
69watt on for 2.5hrs at Ebico E7 rate (4.03p) and 2.5 hours at E7 day rate of 10.99p inc.vat. Think it comes to £9 something for 6 months. Regards Ken.

I reckon the radiator to be taking one fifth or one sixth of the gas bill, based on room size....Total..13,000 kwh p.a. at latest prices 2.55pence costing £331 therefore 1 rad is costing about £60...two bedroom rads are shut off...three same sized rooms otherwise plus bathroom plus kitchen/lobby and stairway/hall. Not wholly scientific, I know. Thermo valves on most.
Rad size 55"x20", three of those in the house plus smaller ones for the other areas. The bedroom is south facing and without a net curtain gets quite hot, figure to shut the room down at sunset and capture the heat to last the night. The blanket is 69W.
