Can you buy a pay-as-you-go phone and then insert a contract SIM?
O2 offer a SIM only contract for £10/month giving 100min/mth + unlimited texts
For £15/month (24 month contract) they offer the same deal but throw in a phone, i.e. for an extra £120
One of they phones they offer with the £15 phone deal can be picked up for £70 pay-as-you-go.
i.e. Can I just get a £70 PAYG phone + £10/mth SIM contract and save £50 over the course of 2 years?

Yes you can ..providing it's an O2 phone or an unlocked one
It's not just about the money0 -
Tesco Mobile (piggy backing on O2) do the same sim only contract deal for £6 a month. So if you get the payg phone unlocked or if you can get it on Tesco for a similar price your save more money.

I also have O2 broadband, and as I have an O2 mobile I get broadband at £7.50/mth.
If I go to a Tesco (O2 network) contract would the same broadband deal apply?0 -
No. Just because Tesco piggyback off O2 it does not mean you pay your mobile bill to O2.0

Thanks everyone, most appreciated.0
