If you've scanned it in as an image then you'll need an image editor (like paint although that wouldn't be the best program for this) to make changes.
What you really needed to do to make any extensive changes is to scan the document into an OCR (optical character recognition) program that produces a text document (usually with plenty of errors) from the scanned image. Most scanners come with software to do this.0 -

as per post #2 you need to rescan it using the Optical Character Recognition software/settings that come with the scanner.
The model of printer that you have is probably not related to the solution....0 -
Morning,
which version of word have you got, and which windows have you got?4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0 -
The version of the document that you currently have is an image (like a photograph) of the document.
You cannot edit words in an image with a word processor, you need to convert it into a text file - such as a .doc file for Word or a .txt file for Notepad - that a word processor can work on. The conversion is done with an OCR program - Optical Character Recognition. You may need to rescan the document directly into the OCR software rather than use your existing file.
If your scanner did not come with OCR software then you need to acquire some from elsewhere. It's a long time since I used any but there are probably freeware ones available now. If not, and you just need to do this one document, then you will probably be able to download a trial version of one of the commercial offerings. Otherwise, locate someone else who has a scanner and see if you can use the OCR files that came with that one.
If you Google "OCR" then I am sure that you will find helpful sites that will explain it fully and offer some software.0 -

That's why I ask which version of word she has, If 2007 it's easier, if 2010 it's more convoluted since Microsoft have deprecated Office Document Imaging.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex .
