ok in my house we have 2 phones on orange and 2 on 3 since they are the only companies who actually have signal in our house.

anyways the weekend just gone and everyone in our house had signal outage (orange and 3), so i contacted orange who said that there had been some major issues in our area with the masts ~7 masts had gone down from what he could see, and it was due to be fixed over the weekend. all well and good i guess

come Sunday we all get signal back big joy etc etc,

fast forward to yesterday and suddenly both of the people on 3 have no signal and one of the orange phones have no signal as well although strangely i had a good (4 out of 5 bar) 3g signal on my orange phone

so as i stands at the moment, the 2 3 phones still have no signal, and the worry is that my wifes has just renewed her contract for 18 months (about a month into it now) and being a SAHM and having no signal in our house seems somewhat worthless and the other is a iphone contract at 24 months but about 2-3 months into it

so what opions do we have if any and what would people suggest
should we phone 3 (and orange although less of a worry since its a pay n go phone) and find out whats happening (and beleive them?), wait it out and hope for the best or phone them up kick up a fuss and see if we can either cancel the contract untill they sort out the signal or go for a refund for all the time we have this problem

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

  • Hmmm.... That's a difficult one......

I'd be tempted to get in touch with Three and give them a chaser. If you contact them now and it takes a couple of weeks for them to sort the problem, you may be able to get a credit to your account or a free month.

thanks OTG, contacted them yesterday, went through all the normal !!!! of taking out the sim card etc, then decided to escalate it and give a half price line rental on both phones for this month so a bit of a result if they get it fixed stright away
