  • There has still been no sign of Jenny, we have put up about 200 posters so far, registered her with wardens, police, vets, kennels, rescues, on various forums and no sign of her at all. We got some coverage on a local news website

and she is on dog lost

she also has a facebook page

We are worried sick about where she is and what state she's in. We have covered the gound where she went missing over and over again with our other 2 springers and our friends have been there with their dogs everyday so we are as sure as we can be that she isn't there anymore. If she had been in an accident we would have been notified by the police or council so we have to assume that someone has picked her up. maybe they thought she was a stray - she doesn't have a collar as she spends most of her walks going through the thickest bushes she can find.

We just have to keep spreading the word and hoping that someone spots her- there is a £250 reward for her return

So sorry, must be absolutely dreadful for you. You seem to have done everything you can. I would urge you to keep ringing rescues/vets and dog wardens because sometimes they arent that efficient. Is she chipped?
  • Awww just read DogLost - she's been found! http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog_blog.php?dogId=26393

Taken off the dog lost site in OP's link............so pleased. 2010-11-28 16:44 RileysMum, Area Co-ordinator Widnes WOW!!! Just spoken Jenny's owner with a lump in my throat... SHE IS HOME SAFE AND SOUND!! Found in the same area as where she went missing... down a manhole... bit of a mystery as this land has been searched and searched all week but hey... she is home now and that is all that matters.. her sister found her and alerted her owners that she was there. She is now snuggled up with her sister as normal and has been happy and very waggy tailed :)
Stay safe Jenny.. so pleased that you are home.. Lots of hugs and kisses.

Still no trace of Foxy - still looking and posting ads and posters. Have updated all the local vets, councils, dog wardens etc, all to no avail. We are sure that someone has picked him up nd decided to keep him not knowing that they are legally obliged to notify the dog warden and council in the area where they have found him. This would then have meant that he would have been scaned and be back with us by now.

If anyone can put a picture of him or lost poster up in their local area, vets, post office etc, I would be very grateful. Please help me to get him home for Christmas. There is a reward for information leading to his safe return. If you know anyone who has found, brought or been given a dog like him please, please get in touch.

Please please PLEASE can everyone be on the look out for whippets for sale or trade the more people we tell the better chance we have for getting these babies home to Debbie - she is willing to buy them back if necessary.

PLEASE HELP if you can post on every forum you're on weather it's animal related or not

As a fellow whippet owner, I'm truly sorry to hear of this horrible thing.

I hope that your friend is reunited with her dogs soon and that whoever did this is brought to justice.
  • she is willing to buy them back if necessary.

I would strongly advise her NOT to even consider buying them back. Not only would she be rewarding the thieving toe-rags who took them in the first place, she would actually be in receipt of stolen property and liable to get in trouble with the law. Ridiculous, but true I believe...

Hope they find their way home safely very soon x
