  • Hi

Does anyone use one of those Vac n seal food machines that they are selling on the shopping channels recently?

If so are they useful and worth buying?

We were given one from Freecycle once but the vacuum bit didnt work and we are really wanting to replace it but want to know if theres anything cheaper? It would be used often as I like to make smaller portions to freeze when buying large meat packs on offer or portioned home made quick meals and soup which I freeze ready to grab and leftover takeaways when having a night off from cooking Also for stuff like cheese etc

    Thanks

    :)

Thanks, thats what I thought but they are quite epensive but I think worth it, trouble is I cannot afford £40 in one go from JML and they dont seem much cheaper on Amazon or Ebay either :(

:) As hubby treated me to a Magic Bullet I wanted I have treated myself to the food sealer from JML website as I have a feeling there might be lots of leftovers as I have a habit of over estimating, so no more food waste this way!

I realise I said above I couldn't afford one but JML offers handy pay so I have used this option as I can afford it.

    Thanks everyone

I have one but rarely use it TBH. Its hiding in a cupboard as its a bit fiddly. It does its job well though

 Shame you hadnt said earlier I would have paid the P & P for you to send it to me! ;)

Never mind why not sell it on ebay and buy something of more use if its just taking up space?

Yeah! I must do that. I have a pantry overflowing with gadgets that are barely used. I only seem to use my food processor, my kenwood chef and my cooking pots. Must declutter the kitchen soon!!!!

    Hi crispy,

There's an earlier thread with advice on vacuum sealers that should help so I've added your thread to it to keep the replies together.

  • Ive just treated myself to one from JML direct can't wait for it to arrive. But is there anywhere I can get more bags from cheaper than JML?

    Thanks
