Hi - i'm looking for a cash isa, where I can set up a regular standing order each month to accumulate a little pot of savings (preferably tax free-hence the isa idea)
I have information on the Virgin Cash isa, but see this pays 4% aer - is there a better deal around without/or with minimal risk?
All help appreciated
thanx

I recently opened an account with NCBS, as recommended on Martin's site (though it doesn't seem to be now). Think the rate is still competative (5.01%) but there's more info on ISAs if you browse the site under "savings and investments"

4% on a cash ISA is aweful. You should be able to get at least 5% on quite a few now. Try Halifax or NS@I who have ISA over 5%0 -

Bear in mind that you can't make your full years contribution into this account. There's only 7 months left this tax year so the max you can pay in this tax year is 7 x £250 = £1750.000
