my gf is just entering her last 3 momths of her orange contract which i belive is the point at which she can re-new the contract and take out a new phone/package.

Does anyone know the ins and outs of this and how it works ?

Also does anyone know any good deals i can ask for ?

  • you will pay a upgrade fee or no fee dependes on how much you spend each month and the price of the phone from free to x amont and you can change your tariff and take any specal offers too (if any )take a 12 month or 18 month contracted out put if you wait the full contract you can get better deals some times and more free phones .
the last upgrad i did was 9 month in and stayed with the same tariff (been on it years )and had to pay £100 for the new phone put the phone was the same price if i had done the 12 month
there or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff

i've been looking to get a w810i or a k800 but will have to speak to them tomorrow and see what they offer..

really looking for alot more mins n txts..

would appreciate it if ppl posted what offers they got..
  • I've gone through two orange renewals and the key is to go to the option that says you are thinking of leaving instead of the option to upgrade. You'll get through to a team that's much more helpful and have much more authority to give you what you want.

First time I got a Samsung D600 and bluetooth headset for free, 500 x-net anytime minutes and 100 texts for £25 a month. This time I got a free upgrade to an SPV m3100 for £19 a month with unlimited 3G data, on a 12 month contract too.

Do your research, find out what competitors are offering, and then tell Orange what you'd like. Worked for me - you just need to be firm and ask for your PAC code - this normally knocks them into gear :)

If you've spent enough with them in the past you will normally get what you ask for.
