Call the Hotel and ask them about the 'function'...
Also call into your local polie station with the leaflet and ask for their opnion if this 'event' is legit...

Have you seen the Croydon Hilton?
It's on a newish out-of-town development on the Purley Way (home mainly to warehouses and industrial complexes) - nothing classy about it at all.

Nothing classy about a lot of Hiltons these days but the name still rings the tune of luxury and trustworthyness to many.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
The venues should be ashamed of letting these type of rip off merchants use their premises. If they were made liable for this type of fraud on their premises I bet they would be a lot more choosy about who they hire to.0

These venues don't seem to care who they rent their rooms out to as long as get their rental. A couple of years ago the BBC Three Counties Radio programme ran several features about the "Women Empowering Women" pyramid scheme where people were parting with £3000 with the "promise" that this would turn into £24,000. The meetings were being held at the Milton Keynes Hockey Club. The radio station told the club about the crooks using their rooms but they weren't interested. In the end they refused to talk to the radio station and were content to let the crooks operate on their premises and con money out of people. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
