Free Iphone?
I am on a sim only simplicity tariff with o2 - I can leave every 30 days with 600mins and 3900 texts (basically unlimited) plus unltd data for £35 a month. But my handset is very old and failing and I dont mind being in a contract. I would like an iphone but fear losing the good calls and texts I have now and having to pay for a handset (not keen). Does anyone know of a good iphone contract what would include a free handset (can be 3gs not 4)
Thanks

Hi there
Three is your best bet, but it would have to be the iPhone 3GS (clicky). £35 gets you the handset, 900 minutes and 5000 texts plus 1Gb of data or you can drop to £30, pay £29 for the handset and get 500 minutes instead of 900.
O2 won't come anywhere close to that but if you don't mind having a reconditioned handset, it's often worth a call to their retentions department. It may get you the 16Gb 3GS rather than the 8Gb offered by Three, plus they often will offer you a better minute/text deal than they advertise for the new handsets.
Reconditioned handsets come with the same 1 year warranty, but have just been opened and returned. In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0
