I am after a little help with buying a netbook at the moment.
I have about £200-£300 to spend and want it to have windows 7 starter, an Atom N450 and to look good as some i have seen are so chunky.
The one that i am leaning to so far is the samsung N210 however i like the Asus 1005HA but that is only Atom N270. Is there much difference between Atom 270 and 450.
Thanks

Windows 7 Starter is basically Windows 7, but crippled. Avoid it if you can.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

You can also buy a 6 cell battery for the thing for around £40, which should give you up to 8 hours use. You could then use the 3 cell supplied as back up.0

I'd stick with XP if your using a netbook0

So what would be the alternative?? The things that are missing from Windows 7 Starter, XP doesn't have anyway.
You can just as easily add them to Windows 7 Starter as you can add them to XP.
Such as Built-in DVD (MPEG-2 and Dolby Digital) decoders...
Is there something commonly used in XP that would be missing?0 -
Digicare have a Samsung factory outlet at Telford and last time I looked they were selling Samsung N10 netbooks with XP, 160gb hard drive and a 6 cell battery pack for £174.
I have had mine for a couple of months and it's a great little machine.
Doesn't help though if you're nowhere near Telford.0 -
