Why are Apple only supplying free bumpers on the iphone4 until the end of September?

Iv been reading that Apple are only supplying free bumpers on the iphone 4 until the end of September why is this, are they planning to update the phone so there will be no antenna problems? Not sue whether to hold on until start of October to get one if that is the case.

I doubt if apple will be bringing out an updated model, why would they when theres still gullible mugs buying it now.
They will wait untill next year and release the iphone 4gs or some other crap, with the latest greatest must have feature that they invented, hold it how you want

a few days ago i remember reading an article where a mobile parts supplier reported to a magazine that they had huge orders for manufacturing white iphone parts and there was some reference to special insulation being applied etc. but looks like that is for an updated model.. atleast that was the speculation in the tech website. if i remember the link will post it later today. will try to find it now. so looks like an updated handset will be released and people who bought the present model will see their handset prices drop as a result of the new insulated version to be released i guess.

emm an insulated iphone, that would drop the residual price of the current ones!!
