Repeated problems with Blackberry Storm.. HELP!!

Right, so basically I have a Blackberry storm on a 24 month contract with vodafone and Im 14 months in. Ive had repeated problems with the handset, specifically with the touch screen not working, and Ive had to send it back at least three times now. One operator admitted today that theyve had loads of problems with this particular phone, and it freezing and dropping calls are well known.

Could anyone give me advice on if there is anything I can do legally to get rid of this handset? I have asked about an early upgrade but that would cost me £100 and to buy out of my cntract it would be £300ish.

Thanks in advance :)

The Storm is not a great handset, if you intend to honour your contract, the phone will be yours anyway so I would sell it and get a Curve 8900 or even better, a Bold 9700. Try CEX for a good deal on trade in.

Both are great phones and make the Storm look a bit poor.

  • I was thinking more along the lines of Vodafones responsibility when it comes to phones that have been changed for the same fault numerous times. I'm wondering what their legal responsiblilities are and if there a re any magic laws or acts I can quote that will make the operators do an exchange for me.

Somewere like CEX doesnt offer very good prices for phones either, you'd be much better off selling it personally. CEX would offer £104 max for my phone, but I could sell it on Ebay for £200. But thanks though :)
