New M&S Credit Card....Decision by Post

I've just had a email to say that I will get a letter in the post to say if I have been accepted or not! Has anyone else been told this? Looks like I have not been accepted then!

Maybe they are doing this because they are busy?? Who knows!

I take it this will be bad news. Has anyone else had a decision by post that was good news?

Mine was a decision by post and i've been accepted. It means it has gone to the underwriters.

I take it you had an email confirming it. If you call the number on the email they will tell you over the phone if you have been accepted or not.

  • They wouldn't tell me. I have to sign the credit agreement and wait for the account to be opened before I find out. Fingers crossed I get the limit I need!!!

Ive just sent back my agreement but i also had the HSBC card when that was 0% 9 month deal with no BT fee-the credit limit was a measly £1.75k so if thats anything to go by im not hopeful of a decent limit. This kind of offer was obviously going to be in big demand and so my guess is the limits wont be big but different depending on individual circumstances i guess.

I signed all the paperwork and sent it back last weekend. Received my PIN this morning and all I need now is the actual card! So frustrating not knowing what my credit limit will be!
