XP - Does anyone have an email address for Pontins Customer Services?

Hi,

I wondered if anyone had an email address for Pontins Customer services? We had a dreadful holiday there recently, which ended up costing us significantly more than we expected because things which seem free on their website actually weren't, and put pressure on my son who has low level special needs. That's on top of the disgraceful state of the accomodation. I'm not great on the phone, but prefer email to snail mail as you generally get it dealt with quicker.

Thanks

Just wait for sirmarcus to get on, he'll advise you of the CEO/MD's email address and tell you to escalate the matter to them...............

But on a more serious note:

Bluecoat : Hello. How can I help ?
you: What is the email address for your customer services team?
    Bluecoat : suzanne.collier@pontins.com
    you: thank you :)
    Bluecoat : your welcome

Try the email address highlighted above :) Although i'm a little dubious. Maybe its me but shouldnt it be you're welcome?

Thankyou so much Unholyangel, I was worried I'd get in to a whole conversation about my grievancesm, so I didn't try the Bluecoat chat thing. It's probably a generic email address with a fake name, I know a lot of companies do that, but as long as someone reads it then it's one step further than I am at the moment! lol

Mark, I think you might not be too far off judging by other people's tales, both in person while on holiday and since then, reading online ;-) If you don't complain though, there is no chance of anything getting changed eh?

Out of interest, what were the extras you had to pay for?

Only reason i ask is that i am going to pontins soon for the first time and i would like to know of any expenses before going.
  • Which Pontins was it? in my experience of going to Southport 4 times in last 2 years its very basic accomodation but people expect far higher quality than it is.

There is often small niggles like tatty old carpet which IMO doesnt bother me too much or the odd window handle broken but with the issues I have had, a quick visit to reception means I get a handyman out within like 15 minutes!

Though my standards are different being both from a poor family and being a student I hear people complain that the chalets are a tip and they leave after 1 night.

Hiya, there's the usual, like the arcade and drinks at the entertainment, which we were expecting, but on top of that, the fairground is £2 per ride (there are deals on large numbers of tickets, but it ended up costing us £50), you have to pay for electricity (about £1.50 a day during the summer), story time was between £2-3 a ticket (£10 for 3 events, per child) to hire a microwave it's £20 deposit and £4 a day charge, for the kids to have their picture taken with Scooby Doo it's £6.50 (we didn't actually want a picture necessarily, it was billed as a meet and greet, and we would have bought a picture had it been any good, but the one they took with the croc was baaaad), we had to buy an airer as they don't provide them (otherwise it's £1.25 IIRC for 15 mins in the dryers), they told the kids that they had to buy a hat at £2 each to join in the party games, and a glow toy for £3-5 each to join in the glow parade. Oh, and there is the refillable cup the kids wanted, I managed to avert that one though. Take a pair of oven gloves too, they don't provide them, or teatowels, so cooking is difficult.

We also wasted 3 PGL vouchers as there were no activities for the under 4s and there were only so many times we could queue for over an hour with the other child.

We had many problems in terms of the comfort and cleanliness too, we knew it wasn't going to be to Butlins standard, but it was a very uncomfortable week, we would have been more comfortable camping I think. We didn't complain at the time, which was silly of us, but there were many people around us who said they had complained for simelar problems and there had been no resolution, so it seemed pointless. Seeing my son in tears because he didn't have a glow-stick to join in the parade like the other children broke my heart, he struggles to fit in at the best of times, and we bought them one each, but that is not fair on parents when you are on a budget!

Good luck and hope the above helps.:)

Please be aware that I have amended the e-mail address for our customer services department for Pontins.
  • Suzanne Collier no longer works at Pontin's - web site says contact General Manager at park to complain........................should be interesting
