we had to take a month off payments too for a big car repair and what they arranged was for us to pay it off over the next year on top of what we were already paying. This was hard but we managed it. I think they may be sympathetic as your car is probably vital for you to work and continue with payments in the future. Sometimes they may add the missed payment on at the end of your IVA so you pay an extra month I think.Do what you love :happyhear0 -
It has been interesting reading all of the posts on this board. I am at the stage where I need to consider going into an IVA because I am able to cover all of my bills including repayments but that's it. There is no room for movement, no room for anything and it is an overwhelming feeling.
I will be printing off Martin's IVA guide tomorrow and will read whilst waiting at the Dentist. Well I can't feel any worst can I?
Congratulations to all who have paid off their IVA's I feel more positive about the situation knowing that others have come out of the other side. :T
