Congratulations Taplady, I know the feeling and it's fantastic. I'll never forget the day a couple of years back when the boss of my IP's firm rang me and basically said that there would be no annual review as it all looked good and was just a case of wrapping things up. It was a far cry from the daily calls from the DCAs I'd had five years before. Enjoy.0

IVAs are not to be undertaken lightly but if the circumstances are right they are a good way forward for a lot of people. CCCS should be able to advise you if it is a good idea for you. There is info available on this board.Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Congratulations and very well done.
Mine was a one-off IVA which finished in June so I know the feeling very well. It was a huge relief getting the IVA approved in the first place although that's nothing compared to the feeling when its completed :j
IVA's do seem to attract a lot of bad press however I suspect its because there's still a lot of companies taking advantage of people in unfortunate circumstances. The help and support from the members of this forum have been invaluable.0 -
I have been in my IVA since November 2006, I am with Blair Endersby, who actually don't seem to care about you. I am still finding it hard I pay £200 per month and due to everything going up due to the greed of the government the IVA people do not take anything into consideration.
I have asked if I can skip a payment due to my car needing MOT and Tax and I don't know what im gonna do....
I see that you can get ‘Charitable payments towards debts’ unsure about this....
Anyone any advise as all ?:mad:0 -
Well done Taplady
the only way is up now, been over 2 years since mine completed and like I was never in debt, life starts here Enjoy itTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
It has been interesting reading all of the posts on this board. I am at the stage where I need to consider going into an IVA because I am able to cover all of my bills including repayments but that's it. There is no room for movement, no room for anything and it is an overwhelming feeling.
I will be printing off Martin's IVA guide tomorrow and will read whilst waiting at the Dentist. Well I can't feel any worst can I?
Congratulations to all who have paid off their IVA's I feel more positive about the situation knowing that others have come out of the other side. :T
