  • I haven't had chocolate for 70 days. (I still miss it and it hasn't made any difference to the migraines)

I have cleared out the wardrobe, chest of drawers and have two bags for the Charity shops. Got to do the rest of my list.

Luc, I may be persuaded to change my mind if chocolate is involved!

I've just eaten a load of brioche, mmm.

Get job thru 'Train to Gain' 16+ hours per week then attend college.
    Pro's-earning a (small) wage
Con's-hours will be weekends which dont always suit with DH shifts

All the work I do is T2G related and as far as I know they don't offer jobs  Train 2 Gain is funding to offer work based learning qualifications to upskill the workforce. Funding is verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry complicated and will depend on your previous qualifications (there are some caveats to that but they are long and complex!!)

Do you mean an Apprenticeship? This would be a job, probably on £95 per week for 6 months. You'd do a Level 2 NVQ (or Certificate as they are now going to be called ) in a related subject and also your Functional Skills (ie literacy and numeracy), which will probably be classroom based.

If you get a job (any job) then the employer may be able to put you through an NVQ using an organisation with Train 2 Gain funding, but it will mean them finding someone with assessors offering the subject of the qual.
