And when supply reduces to the levels seen early last year, prices rise rapidly again.
Really and it was nothing about a massive stimulus Hamish then. :rotfl: Nothing about interest rate cuts to 0.5%, Stamp due freezes, shared ownership & homebuy and a weak pound encouraging foreign buyers.
Cut the spin, cut the rubbish. House prices are overvalued and falling back to normal levels.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

            Here's an updated graph.
One that shows Q2 2010.
Seems like we are nicely following the long term trend.
No need for boom and bust, just a reality in that this is the likely projection for house prices moving forward long term.

Brit - how low do have prices have to go before you will buy? You have already wasted three years waiting, this time could have been spent paying down the mortgage rather then rent?
I only ask because I fear your obsession for 'half price houses' will mean you never enjoy home ownership.0 -
House prices have been falling for quite a while now and are lower than they were this time last year.
The published figures suggesting otherwise are just spin and bullsh1t.

After 12 months on the market at £159,950 the owners of this property decided to raise their asking price to £175,000 in March 2010.
Strangely enough, its still up for sale 5 months later!
