credit checks by t-mobile
This morning, I applied for a new mobile contract of £20 per month with T-mobile (current provider is o2). Someone from T-mobile just called me to say a creck check revealed i have a low score and I need to pay the company a deposit of £100, which will be repayable to me after 3 months if there are no problems on my account.
Has anyone else had this? I've never been asked for this kind of thing before so want to check I'm not about to be scammed.
I have never had any problems with credit so I'm mystified as to why I'd receive a low credit rating.
