12 Month Free Deals
Hey guys and gals..
I've just been doing some research on these 12 month free deals (on a 12 month contract) - mostly with the 3 network. I've already had one deal a year ago which has now expired hence I'm looking for a new one...
There are a few websites that do do these deals, like simply3g and phoneboxdirect, for example, but i was wondering whether there was already a thread on this? I mean like a list of the latest free deals?
If that isn't the case, shall we make one?

Hi Kamran,
Simply3G are not included on the Reestit Mutton website because they have NEVER responded to any of my queries.
I must have sent them half a dozen emails over a two month period with not a single response.
I had to ask myself...if they can't be bothered to talk to someone who is willing and able to promote their site, what chance do customers have of getting answers from them if their cashback fails to materialise?
That's not to say that Simply3G will not pay out the promised cashback - it's just that I have chosen to only promote retailers who are able to demonstrate an open channel of communication and Simply3G has simply (pardon the pun) not demonstrated that to me.
There are one or two other retailers currently absent from the website either because they haven't yet proven themselves to be genuine (too new on the scene and no reliable evidence of cashback payout yet) or they are inextricably linked to other companies with reputations for NEVER paying out (to avoid potential libel issues for Martin, I shan't name names here)
However, that's no guarantee that retailers included on the site will NEVER misbehave - even Carphone Warehouse has misbehaved on the odd occasion. If I were to operate a "one strike and you're out" policy the site would end up with zero content.
I've been promising a user rating mechanism on my site for some time now which would hopefully allow users to make up their own mind about the reliability of any given retailer. However, there are still umpteen things in front of this feature in my to-do list so I can't say with any certainty when this will materialise. However, I do firmly believe that it is a "when" and not an "if" as I rate it as a very important facility.
I hope this explains things further
Reestit MuttonFor anyone wishing to contact me privately to ask me a question, can I ask that you email me directly as my PM box is often full.0 -
cool, thanks for that. "simple" enough I suppose.0

Customer care cannot deal with complaints and refuse to put you through to someone senior.............you have to write in. And if you write in ........well I have sent several emails to Dunstone and other departments and it is over a week and I have heard nothing from them bar automated acknowledgement of receipt of the email.
It's all relative, Old Gold.
In the main, all else being equal, most people would prefer a CPW owned company to any of the smaller cashback retailers. Call it a lesser evil, if you will. I was simply pointing out that they are no angels.

This forum is a brilliant one for pointing us to the dangers we may not have been aware of and then how certain issues are being handled. For example although not conclusive it looks as if Mobile Rainbow and Mobileship are not rogues but have hit problems whereas other retailers do fall into the 'keep clear zone'0
