It still would be regarded as bad practice within most telecom/broadband companies, I can say that having worked in the industry.
You have to bear in mind that they are a monopole and should be called to account by the regulators, even if the t's and c's say they can change it, should they then be allowed to change it to any tariff? Where do you draw the line?0 -
If you don't agree to the Ts&Cs then don't sign up. Don't sign up to Ts&Cs that you don't agree with in the hope you can just ignore them when a problem arises.
