    Morning!

    Hello CL!

Dentists, you don't really have a choice anymore, when I needed to register with one last year I had to phone up, then they wrote out with which one nearby was taking on. My practice is great though, really sympathetic. I don't think there's really any difference between private and NHS.

LMC, my family are like that at christmas too. One of the reasons I prefer to spend it on my own!

Well, today I think I have my writing group, and then I'm meeting with my support worker. I've also made an appointment to see my GP tomorrow, so I need to make a list of all the things I need to talk to her about!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    I love christmas. :j

After spending years of doing it everyone elses way I put my foot down about 5 years ago and did it my way instead. We always stay home on christmas day - I may or may not invite people over but I always do it in rotation as my parents and Inlaws don't really gel well. We have a mix of DH's traditions along with mine and do things just the way we want.

I love the build up to it....making new decorations, making pressies, making drinks (going to do a blackberry rumtopf this year).....

Can I put the tree up now? Pleaseeeeee? :snow_laug

I have warmed to Christmas lately - I've even started buying a few bits and pieces through the year in preparation. Must admit the best one I've had recently was last year when me and Mr S went abroad and didn't have to deal with any relatives or expectations to be anywhere or do anything! Not sure what we'll do this year.

    Good morning everyone,

Massive hugs to all those that are feeling under the weather.

Luc, well done on the 2lbs weight loss.

Sal, good luck with the move.

Cheeselady, welcome to the daily chat.

Pooky, you poor thing and take it steady.

SRM, are you going anywhere exciting?

    Sammy, hello.

Claire, I'm sure the dress will be fine.

    Wannabefree - hello!

Anyway the OH is home, which is why I've not been around over the weekend. He's being very very clingy and I think he's realised that he's made a mistake and realised that jobs in the UK are hard to come by.

On a positive note, he's possibly got an interview for a job in the principality of Kurdistan, or somewhere in that neck of the woods!

Ill just pinch this to save me typing it all!
lmc~hadent realised your OH was back in UK & job hunting.
    Must have missed that.

  • He landed back on UK soil on Saturday morning, however getting a job in the UK is going to prove difficult and costly me thinks!

I'm taking him round the recruitment agencies on Monday.
  • need to find a decent bank account, need to start repaying my credit card more than minimum payment.

relocated due to personal problems so need to find a decent paying job, used credit cards for removal costs etc, so really struggling financiallyatm.
