I wouldn't call that novice  your great aunt will be really chuffed!
I have only ever made the one 'decorated' cake, it was a jungle themed one for my brother, it turned out ok considering, but I had to follow instructions step by step from a book to make the figures etc.

    OMG! that is awesome! Well done! :T :T :T :T :T

Do you give DFW discount on wedding cakes ;)

I'm only across in East Yorkshire so give us a PM if you want a price, I did a wedding cake in June, 3 tiers and charged half the price of the one she saw similar on a website!

I'm really nervous about taking it tomorrow because my other great aunt died at Easter and she was the family cake maker/decorato. And my nana asked me to do the cake for the other surviving great aunt. so it could get all abit immotional! None of my family have seen my cakes, and they certainly won't be expecting one like this :o :rotfl:

    Brilliant.

Think you have business on the side there if you ask me.

  • Excellent! I used to make cakes for friends, aquaintances, teachers, neighbours. Chose sewing over baking. That is a seriously good cake.

  • That's excellent!! :T

It doesn't look like a novice effort in any way.

Is the bath cake too or all fondant?
