Warning about http://www.htccode.com/ do not use them.

Their codes do not work and when you ask for a refund you do not hear from them again.

Their forum is full of complaints I found out afterwards.

Stay away from this web site.

  • I have fallen for this...I paid my $20 and attempted to unlock my phone.

Their website claims "Money back Guarantee", so I thought I was safe. I paid with Paypal, funded by my credit card.

I have complained to Paypal, however reading the dispute small print, "disputes can only be raised for physical items that can be posted", so I am not expecting much help.

Is there anything I can do to get my money back?

I will "try" complaining to my credit card supplier, directly.

Paypal are responsible in this case I think. Just have to argue your case and say its no working and prove it to them. They can cut the seller off from using Paypal. If it was some music or game download, I could understand Paypal refusing to refund but unlock code not working can be proven - and as such the item was not delivered to you.

my experience on similar things may help you.

I had the same situation where i paid through my paypal funded by credit card. Credit card section does not cover the guarantee to you since paypal is a mediating company. so your CC helping you on this ruled out.

Paypal only covers the physical goods. for that matter if the otehr company who received funds proove to paypal that they had sent an 'email wiht code' to you then paypal would only support the company than you. there isnothing much you can do here unfortunately.

but hey i looked at a wonderful website and followed their instructions and paypal returned me my monies as a 'gesture of goodwill'. try this out. it took nearly two weeks and I nearly had lost my hopes and forgotten until one fine morning I found an email from paypal regarding their refund. good luck.
