Sky writing to deceased relative

I always knew Sky didn't have the best customer service, but earlier this year I rung them to disconnect my grandmothers sky service as she had passed away. I was rather annoyed at the time, as they insisted that we paid another month as it was in the contract that they had to be given a months notice - but was in no frame of mind to argue to just paid up.
Then, yesterday, discovered that they are now writing to ask if she would like to return to sky, and offering a special offer to tempt her back.
There is nothing I'd love more than for her to be able to sign back up with them, but I think charging grieving relatives, then taunting them with thoughtless junk mail, when they are fully aware of the situation, is just horrible.
Even when I rung up now, they couldn't have cared less.

When you collect the death certificate, they give you some forms that you send of to comapnies so that they do not send anymore mail :beer:0 -
I doubt it was deliberate - probably a software malfunction. I'd still complain though.0

Mums been gone for over 2 yrs and I'm still getting letters from companies trying to get her to sign up again. I must of told Littlewoods catalogue about 5 times but still the letters arrive at the door. I would understand if she was in debt but i paid everything off a few weeks after she died.
I didn't get any forms other than the death certificate.0 -

You can get the forms from the registry office they are free, when I collected my brothers DC, they offered me the forms, I did not know about them until that time (and also it reduces 'graveyard' fraud).0 -
We received a letter from BT for my father after he died .They offered his BT vision .
I wrote back and said he would love it and when could they fit it in the cemetery ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -
Not just companies, we had a survey from Mum's hospital asking how she found her stay there, and to rate it
She actually died in there
They apologised profusely when we pointed this out, and to be fair they said they had altered their procedures to prevent it happening againWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0
