Hi

Taking the plunge and going to buy an iPhone 4 this week. Having given up on Tesco I'm going to go with either O2 or Vodaphone on the £40 tarrif. Minutes and texts are the same but data and wifi are where it differs so would like some advice on how much people use?

Vodaphone offer 750mb data and 1Gb Openzone Wifi usage
O2 is 500mb data and unlimited Openzone.

Not having had one of these before I really don't know if this is something I should be concerned about or not? My inclination is Vodaphone as my other half has one and the reception is good in my area.

thanks

The IPhone 4 suffers from terrible reception issues, its a known manufacturing fault. I would advise you pick up a IPhone 3Gs instead.

As to data usage i would also go for vodafone, you want a higher general cap rather than be tied to wifi.
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

I think this is a bit over hyped, as people I know who have upgraded from 3gs to ip4 have not had worse signal.

I wouldn't say over hyped, because apple don't admit to such things lightly, it took independent tests for them to admit the fault.

Go for the one with the best mobile signal where you live first, as that's where you spend most of your time. Then the highest data usage. Only after that consider the amount of Openzone.

thanks for your help. Both O2 and Vodaphone are OK, Orange isn't which it's why it's already out.

And thanks for the other opinion, however talking to a few people who have upgraded without problem I will be going for the 4.

    cheers
