Trouble with sky wifi

Recently joined Sky and having issues with internet access and unsure of how to fix it. We have the modem which gives us wireless internet and bought 2 wireless adapters to get it onto the 2 computers. Now one of those computers is working fine with the wifi, but can I heck get it to work on the other one or the laptop which I am having to use with a wire from the modem so cant go far at all with it! It would seem that the modem is not giving out more than one IP address for wifi?
Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it please?
I dont like paying so much for something I cant even get full use out of.

Thankyou,
HoneyD

Assuming you don't have a faulty wireless adapter and have installed them correctly then..................

It may be that you are getting interference from a neighbours wifi.
You can have as many wireless connections to your router as you wish, there is a limit but its more than 10 devices.

Id suggest you download and run inSSIDer, a free utility that will scan and display all wifi signals you are picking up.

If your router channel is the same as a neighbours then you should change is to an empty one and try again.

To do this you will have to log into your router and change the wireless settings.

    user admin, password sky.

Find the wireless setting page change the wireless channel if necessary and try again.

While you are 'in' the router it would be worth checking your router statistics to see if your getting the best speed for your line.

Its not picking up any other wifi.
I really dont think it is the adapters as we had 3 and 1 is up and running, the other 2 were tested on a computer and laptop and then my Dad took one home and he uses it fine.
I wish I knew what the problem is.

That would be it then, passcodes are case sensitive.
