what it means is Piggers thinks I'M old and, therefore wrinkly...

as it happens he is younger than me!

did a 'maintainence' run on the WM last night as there weren't enough clothes to make a washload.

There are now though *rolls eyes*

    Hulloo everyone,
I am a certified lurker around MSE, but I think this thread is the kick up the bum I need to keep on top of things with the house! When it comes to housework I tend to procrastinate (I spent about an hour reading the thread last night before deciding I'd post tomorrow lol). I had a baby 3 weeks ago and slowly getting back on top of things, at the moment the house is relatively tidy as we had relatives visit for the weekend so I had to get it clean! But unless I take action it will soon disintegrate into CHAOS again, so I'll give it a try!

Tuesday ~ Kitchen and Dining area
    Level One
[STRIKE]Sweep and mop the floor [/STRIKE]- wont need mopping but will give it a good sweep/hoover
    [STRIKE]Clear and wipe worksurfaces
    Clean the sink![/STRIKE]
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Wipe fronts of appliances and units.
Wipe small appliances and replace.. make sure the inside of microwave etc are sparkly and hygienic!
Wipe table and replace cloth if needed[/STRIKE] - DS1 has weetabix for breakfast - anyone got a sandblaster I can borrow :rotfl:
    Level Three
    Clear and wipe window sills
    Clean out the fridge thoroughly
    [STRIKE]Wipe over[/STRIKE] oven and [STRIKE]hob.[/STRIKE] - Oven would also require sandblaster :o
    Extras
Sort tea towels.. fling/donate (to pdsa/animal rescue /window cleaner) any that are shamefully manky! - Needs doing, but if I threw all the shameful ones away I'd have about 2 left, so need to replace first and will have to wait till payday!
Replace dish cloths that are gross
[STRIKE]Descale kettles/irons/taps etc[/STRIKE] Was done when we bought bub home so he didn't get limescale in his bottle lol
    Empty and wash out bins!

WM emptied and reloaded, and yesterdays load hung up.
Shopping done - got thoroughly wet but might save a mouse from the cats clutches
    Also sorted OH's underwear drawer*shudder*

Aiming for level 2 today - as I said house isn't a complete sty so it should be manageable! Also need to get some laundry done and pop to the supermarket in between rain showers :)

    Wish me luck!
    So, there are these boys,
    They kinda stole my heart,
    They call me Mummy

    Afternoon all,

Heavy rain with thunder and lightening here it feels like an October day we even have had to put the lights on as its soo dark.

I am sticking with Mondays list as havent yet finished it and want at least one room scrubbed to level 3 standards, have also put bags on the door knobs of every room and asked the girls to fill them with bits of rubbish hopefully they will manage them all before lunch and then i can get the bags in the bin before the binmen arrive this afternoon.

    List for this afternoon -
    finish LR
    tea in oven
    prep veg
    WM x 2
    TD x 2
    OU assignment 3 hrs
start sorting out photos on PC for the ones we want to order
    ebay x10

Right lunch and then i will get started.

  • Went to Hastings on Saturday with BF and my niece. It was lovely

Oh, mumofjusttwo, you make me quite envious - we lived in Hastings for donkey's years - only moved away because the grown-up kids had all moved miles away, so went where we could see more of them. We lived on the side of the West Hill, and looked out (from our top windows) over the town and across the bay towards Eastbourne. Still miss the sea!

Hope everyone is OK this morning and Flying well (new mums excepted - from the Flying bit that is!). I haven't done much yet - various phone calls, printed off a receipt and found I had to change BOTH ink cartridges - then I always order new ones when one runs out - etc, etc.

Will have lunch then go to see DH, and do my Fly jobs later.

Had a nice day yesterday - after my breast screening I went to Bristol (can't at this moment remember who on here lives there). I ate my nice packed lunch on the bus on the way. Got some useful remnants in Fabricland to put in the quilt I'm making for DH. It's the first time I've been in the new one - more choice than the old one across the road had - I'll be back!. Explored the nearby charity shops but (amazingly) spent nothing, and bought a couple of little things from Poundland.

Then I got the 48 bus up to IKEA to look for curtain rings, found them, had my free cup of coffee etc. By this time it was 4.30, so I phoned DS, who lives in Easton - he'd just got home, so I walked over and spent a couple of hours with him.

Good day out - spent not a lot!

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
