Oh Jen your list is really lovely.
I love the idea of being a Xmas fairy for sick children. How rewarding would that be? Also knitting clothes for premature babies is a lovely thing to do. My sister has had 3 premature babies and believe me the clothes that people donate are always put to very good use.

Aww thank you Emzilla
My brother was born prematurely at 28 weeks - he will be 23 years old next month
And yes I know the premature unit is always happy to receive clothes for their babies
I am so excited to start my list and looking forward to all the new experiences and learning I am going to enjoy
Thank you all

Oh bless, I'm glad he survived. 28 weeks is so early. One of my nephews was 29 weeks and unfortunately only lived for 18 days. One of the items on my list is to get a star named after him. It involves raising £5k for Bliss. We have £2.5k already.
Let me know how you get on with learning to knit - it's on my list too

Aww sorry to hear about your nephew hunny x Well done on raising money for Bliss though :j
Good luck with the knitting - I'm so looking forward to learningI have only ever knitted one item and that was a hat for my first born when I was pregnant
It was a white hat with two peaks - each had funky stringy peaks, I was very proud of my achievement at the time
I think I may have my pampering afternoon today - my boys are out for the afternoon and night and hubby is watching the football and since I have been ill I think I deserve itI may just get on with decluttering and cleaning a couple of kitchen cupboards too

Hi Jenny,
I hope you don't mind me sharing my opinion of your list - on the whole it's great & there are some truly lovely items on there which I think I may steal for my next list! But I did come across a couple you may struggle with:-
39 - Stop smoking for 3 years
40 - Stop smoking for 4 years
41 - Stop smoking for 5 years
1001 days worked out to be roughly 2.75 years if i remember correctly, so I think these would be better saved for your next list if you decide to make one? Else you're dooming yourself to failure! Unless of course you have a time machine that you're keeping to yourself
Good luck with your list Jenny, some very noble things on there:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

47 Make 5 people birthday / occasion cakes - done :j:j
Also
46 Sell all of my CD's- done :j:j
Turns out i could have ticked this last month really - all the singles left after i sold my albums weren't worth anything. Going for like 80p etc on ebay. So not worth it. Sent them to a chairty shop.
So that is 3 things out of my pledge of 6 so far. But i am halfway through my AAT project and will hope to complete that this weekend!!
Need to sit down and think if i can do 2 other items! Might need to bring out some of the easy ones to fulfil my quota!!
45 things done! Can't wait to get over that 50 mark!!
Loving all the new lists popping up. I think i will have to remember to start jotting down things for my next list!! xxOrange Fairy

Wow, that's amazing and well done for making five cakes.
There just aren't enough hours in a day/days in a week to fit in everything I'd like to do. Perhaps I need to invent another day called Meday and just dedicate it to whatever I want to do. :rotfl:Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -
