    Woo hoo

No 29 Bake and decorate Cupcakes is done!! I have done fairy cakes before but not cupcakes! They tasted pretty good! I have a good coffee recipe in my book so will try that next :-)

    My proof

    100_4448.jpg

May be on to report 2 more things done tonight :-)

Oh also finished the actual list itself. I had 5 more things to add so i just did it!

However i have changed one. :o Hoping this isn't seen as cheating!!! I had 'Kiss infront of the Eiffel tower. We planned to take the kids to Disneyland Paris as out 2012 holiday. But it now turns out we are 95% going to Florida that May so we definitely wont be doing both and so i will run out of time to go France as well. So i have changed it to 'Go to Disneyland in Paris or Florida again!' Should do one of the other i hope! x

  • Well done littlekel, they look amazing. I didn't realise there is a difference between fairy cakes and cupcakes - I thought it was just an "americanism". I had to look it up to see what the difference is! :D

I don't think a slight alteration is cheating. I've had to move the date of paying off my debts as I'm now working in a low paid job and DH is still not well enough to go to work. Instead of beating myself up by failing three tasks, I just moved the date to the end of the challenge. :o

I cut out another corset pattern today so starting No 78 "Make small, medium and large waspie corset samples" although I'm not too sure when I'll get chance to actually make the things!! As long as I make one to fit me, the others will follow at some point. ;)

    Woohoo!

50 things that make me happy - done!!!

I have written my first postpals letter too. Need to send it later so i can cross it off.

That website made me cry quite a bit. I have actually picked 4 people to write to. Puts a lot of things into perspective.

Not very MSE as i have bought 4 little presents but it is definitely worth the money.

3 things done this weekend! Though will end up shaving it all down to the difficult things!!

I have just completed another- Find a poem that means something to me

For a while now i keep checking online for different love poems but i have struggle to find one i really love.

So this morning i changed it and searched for daughters poems and marriage poems and i have found two i love
    A Heart for Children
    One hundred years from now
It will not matter What kind of car I drove,
What kind of house I lived in,
How much I had in my bank
Nor what my clothes looked like.
One hundred years from now It will not matter
What kind of school I attended,
What kind of typewriter I used
How large or small my church,
But the world may be …
    a little better because..
I was important in the life of a child.
    Wish
Today is a dream realized from years past
The white dress, the wedding cake, the promise of a love that lasts
Today is the beginning of a journey the two of you now share
The vow to love, honor, and cherish now seen in the rings you wear
But tomorrow, tomorrow you will wake as husband and wife
Where the person next to you is yours for life
And so my wish to you both is that when you wake each day
You will turn to each other with the same look you share today.

    Love these two poems

Also picked this from one poem i found

'Marriage is the closest kind of friendship'

So i will use this as my 'Ouote to work into a piece of artwork' I was thinking of making a wedding canvas next year..this would be a perfect quote!

You can tell that OH is away and i have nothing else much to do!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You've done really well today littlekel. The first poem really struck a chord as I worked in day nurseries for 14 years and I hope I made a difference in the lives of those hundreds of children I have looked after.

Your list made me smile too. I'm going through a rough time at the moment so perhaps I ought to write one too, just to show myself there are still reasons to smile.

How many have you crossed off your list now?

12 done now. A few more that can be done soon. I have just completed my love letter in french to OH :-) I thought now would be a nice time especially as he has been away :D

Sorry you are having a tough time at the moment Stitchy- Maybe a list will help you. I was having quite a bad week with the kids this week and felt like i was constantly shouting and worried that DD1 is having to work hard to get to where she should be at school. Then i read the stories on the postpals website and it really made me appreciate what i have xxx
