i've had a go at No 87 - learn how to make soap. I just did a simple recipe for starters and it's currently setting. apart from a pair of rubber gloves and an extra jam thermometer I haven't bought any specialist equipment. I do intend to look in the charity shop tomorrow to see if they have an old grater as I'd like to try some "re-batched" soap too.
I think I'll only mark this as "in progress" as I can't really say I've learnt how to make soap after one batch, which will then take about 4 weeks to cure before I can test it!
At least it's another step forward :jMaking magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -

DNMS - you do have quite a long time before your 1001 days run out, and that includes a couple of summers. I'd wait to have the midnight picnic until August next year, but I am a bit of a wimp as far as the cold goes!Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. Yes, it's one of my early ones. Each time I make one it takes over as my favourite!
Here is a link to my Photobucket page where you can see more of them, including the leather one

My favourite at the moment is the dark green one with fabric roses on the top. I'm especially pleased with it as I also designed it and made the pattern myself.Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -
Hello all
I am very gutted to announce i failed my a picture every day for a month task!!!
I took a picture every day until about the 25th and then suddenly just forgot about it!!!:(:(:(:(:( Gutted! Will plan to do it in december as lots of great days for photos than!!
It is so annoying!
Though i did 'try on a dress i would never think to buy!' I then bought it as i loved it. It was a 'tea' dress with a bird pattern on it! Also adds to my 'own 10 dresses'
OH is away now until Sunday:( I am thinking this could be an advantage for my 101 list. I could do a few bits that i need some time for.
